While my sweet chickie Stella is off looking for trouble, often with Jackie not too far behind her, the twins Trudy and Iggy are usually doing a good job of staying out of trouble. I can’t help but say that Trudy and Iggy are twins. They are both a beautiful orange color and are always side by side. I was so worried that Iggy would never really be a strong chicken and would get picked on by the others. This is certainly not the case. She is always the first to explore new things, and Trudy is right by her side ready to join her in whatever tasty treats she discovers. They look so similar in size and shape I often get them mixed up. One of them is laying eggs now, and I have the sneaking suspicion it’s Iggy. The eggs are half the size of regular eggs, but they are still tasty as heck, so no complaints here. I know I need to get some pictures up of them. You would love how beautiful they turned out.

Two people meet in a seedy country-western watering -hole called the “Giddiup.” One is a young widow named Emma-Lou who feels responsible for the death of her family. The other is a young college-educated rancher named Jonas, who is without family except for a surrogate father who lives on a neighboring ranch. It is an odd trilogy of characters sharing only one common thread… their love of books. When Jonas begins to realize the “almost” in his seemingly “almost perfect” life may well be this confused and lost young woman, his life forever changes.

The Theta Timeline
Chris Dietzel
(35 Reviews)
Genre: Science Fiction
FREE for a limited time
Leaders who rely on war and fear. The men and women who refuse to accept a tyrannical government. And an unreliable means of time travel in which most people don’t survive. Welcome to the nightmarish future of The Theta Timeline, where ‘1984’ meets ‘Slaughterhouse-Five.’ Freedom was not stolen overnight, but gradually chipped away through a campaign of war and terror. People were told new laws and restrictions were for their own good. But the reality was a monstrous regime bent on controlling its subjects. Now, there is only one way to stop the Tyranny: go back in time and prevent it from ever starting. At times eloquent, funny, satirical, and infuriating, The Theta Timeline is not only Dietzel’s most powerful book, it is as important as any dystopian vision created to date.
