It’s bad enough that my little Chaweenie, Junebug, is a nine pound princess who is spoiled rotten, but now she is also becoming a picky eater. I can handle a lot of things with this little girl, like the fact that she must always be with me and wants to be carried around everywhere, but being a picky eater is crossing the line. I give her healthy food with a splash of gravey for taste. That has been good enough, wonderful in fact, up until about a week ago. Now she thinks it is no longer up to par and she wants human food, or whatever I am feeding Jethro. Jethro gets mostly can food since he has on three teeth. He is four hundred years old. He can have whatever he wants, and that includes marshmallows daily. Junebug is young and I want her to eat healthy. I blame this on her father. He gives her little tastes of his food at the dinner table (meat only) and she is hooked! He never listens to me when I tell him not to do that. They are BOTH brats, I give up. No I don’t. Erg…brats.

Can you imagine the utter desolation of an abused child who loses his only friend?
The protagonist has no name; others call him “Idiot.” The book describes the travails of a special needs child growing up on a kibbutz in the 1950s and the abuse he experiences from children, teachers, and other adults throughout his life. When in grade school, he finds a stray dog, Bobby, who helps him develop some self-esteem. At some point, the other children begin to use Bobby for killing cats, and one of the kibbutz members decides to shoot the dog, thus shattering the boy’s last hope.
… and when toying with death becomes his only escape fantasy?
The boy’s real need is for love and warmth from his parents, but the culture of the kibbutz, and perhaps their own limitations, interferes with this. His exile to a boarding high school, followed by being rejected from serving in the Israeli army, leads to a series of suicide attempts. Will he ever find comfort and compassion in the heartless environment in which he seems doomed to live?

Hunter Markham left home to travel the world for fame and glory, finding it as a top ranked professional surfer. Now he’s returned home to the sand and salty breeze of the North Carolina Outer Banks so he can open The Last Call, a beach bar nestled among the dunes of the Atlantic.
Five years ago, Gabby Ward drunkenly threw herself at her best friend’s brother, only to have her young heart crushed. Hunter is back but Gabby is content to stay far away from him and his dangerously charming ways.
Gabby’s well-schemed plans to ignore Hunter go up in flames when he presents her an offer she simply can’t refuse. Working together day in and day out proves problematic for two reasons — Gabby realizes her feelings for Hunter are still very much alive, while Hunter struggles to break through to Gabby’s cold heart. What starts out as a mutual business arrangement soon turns into a passion that neither can deny.
But when the pro surfing tour comes knocking and Hunter has a chance to reclaim his former glory, hard choices lie ahead for both of them.
Choices that could destroy what they have built or take them further than they could ever dare to hope in their second chance at romance.

Peace, Love and a Dirty Bomb
Writers hope their words will live forever, but Cole Sage never dreamed that an old article on the radicals of the Vietnam War era would ignite a string of terrorist bombings and threaten to destroy San Francisco.
Terror Strikes America
Radicalized in a cult commune, Jason Reed has trained dozens of terror groups, both foreign and domestic. Now he’s on a peyote-fueled mission to show Cole Sage the Sixties aren’t over. In a last revolutionary act, Reed hopes to unite the world’s radicals to save Mother Earth. From Wrigley Field to the Golden Gate, Reed lays waste to young and old in a series of devastating bombings.
The Stakes Could Not Be Higher
The search for Jason Reed takes Cole from Washington DC to San Quentin. Jason Reed’s open challenge to Cole Sage brings the journalist and terrorist face to face in what could be the last interview for both.
Micheal Maxwell’s Cole Sage Series departs from the usual, heavily sexual, profanity-laced norm, and gives readers a hero they can relate to and root for in character-driven stories, with twists, turns, and page-turning plot lines.
