My poor garden has no idea what hit it. I went out in the late afternoon to transplant one little plant, and next thing I know I have ripped up almost half of the garden. There were a few plants that were being smothered by others, and some that just weren’t in the exact place I wanted them, so out they went. It felt good to. It felt good to conquer the chaos and bring it back under control. I have no idea if the plants are going to survive being moved like that, but I wasn’t happy with how the garden looked so I think it is worth the risk to make it look how I wanted. I am trying hard not to buy any plants since it is not the time to be doing so, but I am planning away for next year, and hopefully that will suffice for now.

Genre: Literature & Fiction | Suspense | Humor & Satire

What makes a screenwriter return to his tiny hometown in Idaho?
Career disaster? A brother’s call for help? The suicide of his ex-wife?
Try all three. After he bails his eco-activist brother Roadkill out of jail, Ed Mustard joins his battle against a fanatic who’s building a safari camp on the Mustard homestead.
Then Roadkill disappears.
Helped by a disgraced security clerk and four determined pregnant women, Ed must find his brother and fight the wannabe big game hunter, his wacky minions and his con artist preacher in a pocket.
In Mustard’s Last Stand, humor and suspense share the page with ancient lions, zebras and water buffalo, to the occasional tune of an alpenhorn. McIntosh creates memorable characters, with gutsy, funny dialog, a wonderful setting in a fictional but lifelike town in North Idaho to create the first of the Havoc in Hancock humorous mystery series.
Mustard’s Last Stand is award-winning humorous suspense, and helped make McIntosh one of Idaho’s top three emerging fiction writers in 2013. The book became one of Idaho’s top ten in 2013. (Top Idaho Authors and Books Awards)
