On my journey to being more of a minimalist I have encountered a few bumps in the road. Some you would expect, like worrying about getting rid of something then regretting the decision (Just an FYI… I have yet to regret getting rid of anything). Or finding certain areas such a daunting task you avoid it at all costs. The one issue I wasn’t expecting is realizing no one wants your stuff… even for free. I guess everyone being stuck at home with all their stuff all day every day for the last year made people realize they have too much stuff. I have had garage sales with everything being a dollar and barely anyone showed, listed perfectly good stuff on marketplace for free with little response, I even tried to donate items, but was turned away because they had too much stuff. It looks like everyone stopped making sourdough bread and decided purging unwanted items was the thing to do. Can someone please let me know what the next trend is going to be? I always seem late to the party!
