Was Dick Van Dyke aware of what kind of movie he was signing on to do when he did Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? I just watched a video about the Child Catcher in the movie and I gotta say… it’s horrifying! A guy who hunts children with a sicle? WHAT?? He also threatens a toy maker that the baronesses will make a necklace out of his teeth and earrings out of his eyes. This is a kids movie!! Has anyone asked people who were children when this movie came out if they are okay?
